School Description

Lower Lake Elementary School is located in the historical town of Lower Lake, one of the oldest towns in Lake County, a rural Northern California county.  Lower Lake Elementary features a strong and demanding Standards Based Curriculum that features an assessment driven approach to teaching Reading and Math.

Our school is located on Lake Street, on the previous site of the junior high school.  The school has 35 regular classrooms, an RSP room, and a pre-school, library and computer lab which house grades preschool through eighth grade. There are four areas for students to play; a black top area, a wood chip area with playground equipment, a kindergarten and preschool play areas and a large grass field. There are quiet areas for students and staff that include a patio, nature trails and gardens. The facilities are well maintained and provide a great environment for children to learn and to play.

Mission Statement
Students at Lower Lake Elementary will be motivated to pursue learning in an environment that is safe and supportive.  They will learn how to make decisions, solve problems, and be responsible for themselves and their community.  Students will apply learning to new situations in preparation for a demanding and changing world.  Mutual respect between students and adults will ensure that the children feel good about themselves while they work toward achieving their maximum potential of student achievement.
